Why We Started Delectable AI

After 25 years in sales, I’ve spent more than my fair share of time on the road, away from home, and away from the little moments that matter most. I missed a lot of my son’s childhood, and it’s something that’s always stayed with me.

Then something incredible happened—my son got married and had a baby boy. His name is Jacob, and becoming a grandfather completely changed my world.

For the first time in a long time, I had space to slow down and really be present. I noticed things I had never paid attention to before—like how important it is to get the right food for a growing child. What should Jacob eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner?

Which snacks are truly healthy? What if he develops allergies?

That experience lit a fire in me. I realized just how broken the online grocery experience is. Retailers don’t know you, your needs, or the people you’re shopping for. A diabetic is still recommended sugary cereal. A vegetarian is shown meat products. There’s no real intelligence, no personalization—just transactional convenience.

So, we asked a bold question:

Can we make grocery shopping more personal, more intelligent, and more human?

Can we help people make better decisions—for themselves, for their kids, for aging parents, for everyone they love?

That’s why we started Delectable AI ™—to transform grocery shopping from a chore into a deeply personal experience that promotes health and well-being through better choices powered by AI.

This isn’t just a company. It’s a mission born out of love, regret, hope, and a little boy named Jacob.
